Stockholm Diamond League: Matthews takes second place in 400m B race

STOCKHOLM, Sweden:

Peter Matthews put up a decent showing to claim second place in the 400m B race at the BAUHAUS Athletics meeting in Stockholm.

The one lap runner clocked a time of 45.79 seconds to place behind Donald Sanford the American-born athlete who represents Israel who won in a time of 45.23.

Matthews told The Gleaner: “It was a really good race. I haven’t run since the national trials and it was good to get the rust out.”
