Two suspects held in killing of St James teen mom

The police say they have held two suspects in connection with the murder of a 17-year-old mother in Green Pond St James.

The teenager, Iseca Gayle, was shot in the head early yesterday morning.

Family members said they heard gunshots coming from Gayle's dwelling, which she shared with her two-month-old baby, and went to investigate. 

The say the woman was found suffering from a gunshot wound.

Her baby was unharmed.

Gayle was one of 11 persons who were shot in St James and Hanover yesterday.

Six have died so far.

A six-year-old child who is one of the victims is currently hospitalised.

The police say no arrests have been made in the other shootings.
