Defining spiritual and physical laws

Published:Sunday | March 31, 2024 | 12:08 AM

In today’s information superhighway age, it’s easy to get lost in the whirlpool of understanding. One intriguing aspect that emerges from this is the confusion between spiritual laws and physical laws. These two realms operate in stark contrast to each other, with their own set of principles and outcomes. Here are some key distinctions.

1. Giving and receiving

– Physical: When you give something materialistic in the physical world, it diminishes from your possessions immediately. When you give money, food, clothes, etc., to anyone, it reduces instantly.

– Spiritual: Conversely, when you give gifts like joy, love, appreciation, or knowledge, these qualities get multiplied in you, leading to a significant increment in your assets instantly.

2. Attraction and repulsion

– Physical: The adage “opposites attract” is often seen in the physical realm, where contrasting personalities draw individuals together. Science and matter follow this rule.

– Spiritual: In contrast, spiritual laws dictate that similar energies attract each other while opposing energies repel. Individuals with truthfulness, cleanliness, positivity, etc., are attracted to similar virtues and are naturally drawn toward similar environments, people, and situations.

3. Capacity to give

– Physical: Here, it’s possible to give even when you have little or nothing left, such as a mother sacrificing her meal to feed her children. One can give away their comfort to give comfort to their loved ones.

– Spiritual: However, in the spiritual realm, genuine giving stems from abundance within. You cannot share joy or uplift others if you lack joy and high vibes. Giving from a place of inner richness multiplies both within and around you.

4. Physical and mental health

– Physical: Physical health thrives with movement and activity, as in the adage “use it or lose it”. Use your body more to keep it going long-term.

– Spiritual: Conversely, mental tranquillity enhances spiritual well-being. The more you quiet your mind amid today’s noisy world, the better your mental health will be. The key is an active body with a serene mind and not the opposite.

5. Seeking and contentment

– Material: The more you ask, the more you get. It makes you beggar from within. We keep seeking from outside to feel fulfilled. Ask more, get more.

– Spiritual: On the other hand, cultivating inner richness and contentment transforms one into an emperor and things follow you like a shadow. The beggar within dies and is born an emperor.

Understanding and applying these laws in the right context leads to success and harmony in every aspect of life, bridging the gap between the material and the spiritual for a fulfilling existence.
