Robin Levy, the deputy general manager of the Jamaica Stock Exchange, will take up a new position elsewhere when he leaves his current job in two months.

Levy also resigned as general manager of the Jamaica Central Securities Depository Limited as well as JCSD Trustee Services Limited, both subsidiaries of the JSE.

He departs the exchange on October 31.

Levy indicated that his new position would allow him to take a leading role at an organisation but declined to identify the entity.

"I am staying in the private sector, but I won't say where I am going at this time," he told Gleaner Business, adding that protocol dictates that his new employer make the announcement.

He said, however, that the new position puts him at the sweet spot of his specialities. Levy is a certified fraud examiner and holds an MBA in finance.

Prior to joining the Jamaica Stock Exchange, he served as manager for consulting services at the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League Limited.

In 2005, Levy joined the JSE as deputy general manager, a post he kept for 12 years. Overall, he has more than 25 years of management experience.
