Mayberry Investments Limited and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) have expressed sadness at the sudden passing of Sushil Jain on Tuesday, October 10.

“Sushil was the consummate professional, an astute businessman, and a great advisor. He possessed a wealth of knowledge and experience in business and financial management,” Mayberry said in a release.

It said Jain was an integral member of the team at Mayberry Investments where he served as director for more than 11 years.

“He enlivened each board meeting, AGM and our monthly forums with his hard-hitting observations, perspicacity, and priceless counsel,” said the investment outfit.

“Sushil was a stalwart of the Jamaican business community and a man of impeccable integrity. He will certainly be missed,” Mayberry said.

“We use this opportunity to extend heartfelt condolences to his family: his wife Shashi, son Alok, daughter-in-law Alka and two grandchildren, Aashni and Aayush and give our assurance that they are in our prayers at this very sad time,” the release said.

Jain was an ICAJ Member in Retirement.

“We share with everyone in celebrating the life of our beloved Sushil whose distinguished service to the Institute and invaluable role in promoting the local accountancy profession will forever be treasured,” the ICAJ said.

“His contributions are immeasurable and his dedication inimitable,” it said in a statement.
