RJRGLEANER Group acquires stake in e-commerce giant Gustazos

The RJRGLEANER Communications Group has signed an agreement to acquire a significant stake in the popular e-commerce platform Gustazos Jamaica.

The announcement was made at a media launch at the Terra Nova hotel in St Andrew Tuesday evening.

RJRGLEANER and Gustazos currently serve Jamaican businesses through marketing and advertising services.

"The new venture with Gustazos will combine the benefits of exciting consumer discount offers through Gustazos’ proprietary online technology with the expansive market reach of the RJRGLEANER Group’s traditional media platforms," said RJRGLEANER CEO Gary Allen.

He also said the acquisition aligns with the group’s digital strategy and thrust to diversify income sources with complementary businesses over the next five years.

"This is only one of a series of exciting announcements we hope to make in the short to medium term," Allen said.

Meanwhile, Carlos Villares, CEO of Gustazos International, has lauded the new partnership.
