Fontana Pharmacy is to open its sixth branch at the new Waterloo Square at the corner of Waterloo Road and West Kings House Road, St. Andrew in the summer of 2019.

The company’s largest location to date, Fontana Waterloo Square will offer a shopping experience with a 35,000 square foot, two level space featuring elevators and escalators.

The new branch will feature a state of the art pharmacy, one-stop beauty hub, extensive baby and children’s selection, wide-ranging house and home décor collection, full business centre, photo lab, bill payment and courier services.

It will be a feature of Fontana’s 50th anniversary plans.

Kevin Chang, Director at Fontana Pharmacy said the company’s investment in the new location “will help us to further solidify our position as Jamaica's Pharmacy and reinforce our commitment to Jamaica, our customers and our entire team.”

The new branch will provide jobs in areas such as business development, administration and marketing, and the investment in Fontana Waterloo Square is the company’s largest to date, according to a release issued yesterday.

Anne Chang, Kevin’s sister and Fontana director said that “with exceptional customer service as our standard,” Fontana will  be employing 80 additional team members “as we continue to play our part in enhancing the Jamaican workforce and exceeding our customers’ expectations.”

Fontana Pharmacy was first established in Mandeville, Manchester in November 1968 by Bobby and Angela Chang and is now Jamaica’s leading pharmacy and department store chain with locations in Kingston, Mandeville, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Savannah-la-mar.
