• Sagicor Investments Jamaica Limited has developed an online platform called InvestorCore Jamaica – investorcorejamaica.com – to educate investors and provide information free of cost about the local and regional financial market, as well as market reviews and a glossary of financial terms.

• Two more securities were listed on the JSE Private Market last week – the Colossal Holdings IC Cumulative Redeemable Preference Shares due 2022 and valued at $705.67 million, and Colossal Holdings Senior Secured 4.25% FR Bond valued at $1.31 billion. This brings the value of listings on the private platform to $9 billion.

• The GraceKennedy Foundation will be issuing $21 million of scholarships to university students for the 2021-22 academic year and is currently accepting applications – www.bit.ly/GKFScholarships – from students of The University of the West Indies; University of Technology, Jamaica; Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts and Caribbean Maritime University, up to July 15.

• NCB Global Finance Limited, which is based in Trinidad & Tobago, has changed its name to NCB Merchant Bank (Trinidad and Tobago) Limited, but its operations and services remain the same.
