Concentrix to hire 1,000 BPO workers

Business process outsourcing operator Concentrix is on a drive to hire 1,000 persons over six months, which the company said would serve to double its Jamaican operations.

The positions to be filled include customer service agents, as well as supervisory and management personnel.

Concentrix has operated in Jamaica since 2017 and has two call centre locations: one in Montego Bay and the other in Kingston. Associate Director for Service Delivery Jeanne-Marie Dillon Barrett says Concentrix Jamaica has been steadily growing its client base over the four years, and is recruiting additional talent to support that growth.

“By growing Jamaica in our portfolio, we have expanded our services and offered new options to our clients, in addition to offering hundreds of job opportunities for the local market,” she said

The majority of Concentrix staff were placed on work-from-home arrangements during the pandemic, and will continue utilising that hybrid work format.

“Concentrix will retain the work-at-home model for clients where it still makes sense,” Dillon Barrett said.
