Trinidad rocked by 4.5 magnitude earthquake

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC - An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 rocked Trinidad and Tobago just before midnight on Thursday.

The Seismic Research Center of the St Augustine campus of the University of the West Indies reported that the quake, which occurred at 11:30 p.m., was located Latitude 10.97N and Longitude 62.20W at a depth of 33 km.

It was felt in the capital Port of Spain, Arima, and San Fernando in south Trinidad.

There were no immediate reports of injury or damage.
