Bob Marley is known for his many powerful songs, but he also gave the world several very talented children.

In the late 1970s, Ziggy Marley, along with siblings Cedella, Stephen and Sharon Marley, comprised the Melody Makers, which earned international acclaim and released more than 10 albums.

As time progressed Ziggy and Stephen focused on solo careers, with Ziggy winning the Grammy award for Best Reggae Album thrice with the Melody Makers and twice as a solo act. He even got the Grammy award for the Best Musical Album for Children with Family Time in 2010.

Now, Ziggy has received a Grammy nomination for his latest album, Fly Rasta.

He has stepped outside musical boundaries, winning the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Song - Main Title and Promo for I Love You Too. Ziggy has also appeared in the TV shows Family Matters and Charmed, while his songs have been featured in the movies 50 First Dates and You Got Served: Beat the World.

Stephen Marley has received numerous Grammy awards as a recording artiste and producer. In addition to his wins with the Melody Makers, Stephen copped Best Reggae Album at the Grammy Awards in 2007, 2010 and 2012.

WELCOME TO JAMROCK

And it seems awards run in the family, as Damian 'Jr Gong' Marley received the same award in 2002 and 2006 for Halfway Tree and Welcome to Jamrock, respectively. Welcome to Jamrock received another award that year, for the Best Urban/Alternative Performance.

Though yet to win a Grammy, Ky-Mani Marley has scored big with his albums The Journey, Like Father Like Son and Milestone. He has also had major impact on the acting scene with lead roles in the movies Shottas and One Love.

Another Marley brother, Julian, has released the albums A Time And Place, Lion in the Morning, and Awake, the last getting a Grammy nomination in 2010.
