Season 5 of 'Game of Thrones' to premiere in Caribbean, 170 countries worldwide

In an unprecedented move, Game of Thrones will premiere in more than 170 countries and territories across the globe, simultaneously with HBO's US airing on Sunday, April 12 at 9 p.m., ET.

The entire fifth season of the Emmy-, Golden Globe- and Peabody-winning series will be simulcast to HBO-branded networks and broadcast partners across the world, including in the Caribbean, creating a global television event week after week throughout the season's 10-episode run.

Among those participating are the HBO branded networks: HBO Asia, HBO Canada, HBO Europe, HBO Latin America, HBO Netherlands and HBO Nordic.

Since its debut, Game of Thrones has become a worldwide phenomenon and the most popular series in HBO history. Last year, the series was the most searched television show worldwide on Google and the #1 most talked about show on Facebook in the US.

Game of Thrones is based on George R.R. Martin's fantasy series A Song Of Ice and Fire, where political and sexual intrigue abound as seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros. The epic series, with storylines of treachery and nobility, family and honour, ambition and love, and death and survival, has captured the imagination of fans globally and become one of the most popular shows on television.

Kemar 'Flava' McGregor to release 'Old Fashion'

Kemar 'Flava' McGregor is preparing to release his new riddim album, Old Fashion Riddim, Tuesday, March 17 on iTunes, Amazon and eMusic.The album is currently available for pre-order on iTunes.

The 'Old Fashion Riddim' - an energetic bass-groove made strictly for toasters - was produced by McGregor to reintroduce his deejay-friendly style of filling riddim albums with melodic, ebullient singles crafted to impact radio playlists, outdoor reggae jams and sound-system mixtapes with equal adroitness.

The seven-track album contains McGregor's first recorded appearance with reggae singer Exco Levi, along with tracks from Norway's 2014 Hit of the Year winner Nico D, and New York-based reggae singer Ed Robinson, whose McGregor-produced Tribute to John Holt LP was named one of the 'Best of 2014' by iTunes.

Also featured on Old Fashion Riddim is Gappy Ranks' new UK single, Generation, along with performances from reggae luminaries Million Stylez and Pressure.

Smirnoff unleashes Wildfire at Bacchanal

Last Friday, Smirnoff set out to deliver an amazing night at Mas Camp. The long-anticipated Smirnoff 'Wildfire' night was nothing short of high energy and a surprise-filled night.

The stage was transformed into a blazing vortex with the use of LED lights and carbon dioxide blasts to create 'wow' moments for the performances of Barry Hype, Richie D and Farmer Nappy. The Smirnoff dancers kept the crowd

entertained in-between performances displaying the fiery 'Marjuni' costume.

Farmer Nappy performed an amazing set as he kept the patrons dancing and singing to his songs. He sang some of the crowd favourites, Big People Party and Chippin' Down de Road. He ensured that the crowd was entertained and it was obvious they were into the performance.

To top it all off, fire breathers and flame throwers added to the excitement of the night which had patrons in awe. Smirnoff-branded wave rags could be seen all over the venue as it came in handy when persons started dancing up a sweat. The Smirnoff bar never ran dry, as patrons kept themselves fuelled the entire night on the Smirnoff cocktail specials while drinking responsibly.

According to Nasha Douglas, brand manager Smirnoff, they had gone all out to make the night a memorable one for

consumers and revellers.

"Smirnoff Wildfire was exactly what we had anticipated it to be and we are very happy with the turnout. Consumers can rest assured that Smirnoff Beach J'Ouvert will be just as amazing, and we can't wait for persons to be a part of the exciting experience we have planned," Douglas remarked.
