The Pulse Search For The Million Dollar Girl, which was launched in 2014, unearthed hundreds of model hopefuls anxious to become international models and win the $1m prize.

Now the top 21 new faces selected at the live finals in August are competing for the top prize on the Reality TV show for the event, showing on TVJ, Saturdays at 9:30 p.m. The show features Pulse, Vogue and L'Oreal supermodel Jeneil Williams.

At the end of the TV show, one lucky girl with the perfect face, body and spirit will be selected Pulse's Million Dollar Girl and will be awarded $1m in cash and prizes (with no less than $300,000 in cash). Prizes include an airline ticket to New York to visit model agencies, guaranteed modelling contracts and weekends on Jamaica's north coast, among others.

The TV contestant in the spotlight this week is Warricka Pink. She is 18 years old and stands 5' 10" tall. A native of Porus, Manchester, Pink's favourite Pulse model is Oraine Barrett. She is a graduate of Porus High School.

down to earth

Warricka describes herself as a "down-to-earth type of person and rather jovial." Her fun facts include her pleasure in making people laugh and she is quick to point out that she is a drama queen. During her high-school years, Warricka participated in track and field and was outstanding, winning several gold medals.

She lists her special talents as dancing, modelling and acting.

Warricka says "I am a persistent person who always aims for the best. I am working hard to become Pulse's next top model. My best character trait is my personality, which stands out for me." Her favorite foods are ackee and saltfish as well as starches such as dumplings and yams.

She lists Davina Bennett as her best friend in the Model Search, which she entered because modelling is her passion. Through modelling, Warricka hopes to motivate others.
