Lucas releases debut EP
Canadian singer-songwriter Lucas DiPasquale, first stepped onto the music scene with his 'acoustic mash-up' of Popcaan singles on YouTube last year.
The YouTube clips exploded on the Internet, in the process helping to kick-start Lucas' career as a solo artiste.
The artiste has since travelled to Jamaica where he shared stage with Popcaan and even executed a few recordings of his own at the legendary Tuff Gong Studios.
Lucas DiPasquale, is now promoting his debut EP - Post-Secondary - which features production from Stephen McGregor. The EP has four original tracks and features dancehall acts such as Popcaan, Konshens, Assassin, Stylo G and Kardinal Offishall.
The artiste also stuck to his roots by adding a bonus acoustic track to the EP, quite similar to the efforts which brought him popularity on YouTube.com.
"I am so unbelievably excited to be putting my own EP of original music out into the world. I owe so much to a bunch of different hardworking people from all over the world, who have made this project possible. I'm still in awe over the idea that I've made good music with some of the industries best creators - many who I now call friends. I want to give a great big thank you to anyone who has been showing me love. Your support has allowed me to do what I am most passionate about. I really hope you (fans) enjoy Post-Secondary," said Lucas in an interview with The Gleaner.
Vibe Magazine recently premiered Lucas' Tuff Gong Acoustic video session on their website to positive reviews.
