Sweet reggae music, fun galore at Reggae Marathon, December 3-5
Patrons are encouraged to come out and enjoy the finest in reggae music at Reggae Marathon in Negril during the weekend of December 3-5.
The more than 2,500 runners expected will pick up their packages at Couples Swept Away Sports Complex on Thursday, December 2, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Then on Friday, December 4, registration and runner-packet collection continues from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. That day, the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association's (JHTA) 'World's Best' Pasta Party is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. I will feature the best of Negril's cabaret acts and the energetic Silver Birds Steel Band at the Swept Away Sports Complex.
The ever-popular Digicel Reggae Marathon Village Bash - featuring the Digi Rig with surprises and giveaways galore - will take place on Friday, December 4, at the Burger King Parking Lot, Negril Square, beginning at 7 p.m., and will be open to the public.
The Reggae Marathon Finish Line Beach Bash and Awards Ceremony begins at 7 a.m. at Long Bay Beach Park on Saturday, December 5, with the best of Digicel's Rising Stars and the Uprising Roots Band. Kabaka Pyramid returns this year as the headliner.
