Jah Cure's album, The Cure, is once again the No. 1 reggae album on Billboard.com and is now enjoying its 28th week on top of the chart.

The album, which fell to No. 2 last week, was perhaps propelled by a Billboard article published last week which spoke about the artiste's inability to promote his work in places like the United States, England and Canada due to past run-ins with the law.

Jah Cure, who gave a strong performance at the recently concluded Welcome to Jamrock Reggae Cruise, has been described by Billboard as the future of reggae music. The artiste, who has been on a positive path since being released from incarceration, recently told Billboard.com that perhaps winning the Grammy for Best Reggae Album would improve his chances of getting that elusive US visa since the US remains one of the most lucrative markets for reggae music.

"If I could travel to America, I could achieve much more, so I am reaching out to knowledgeable people and immigration lawyers to get the right advice. Maybe winning a Grammy would help with getting a visa; to achieve that. Knowing what I have been through, I could help others build their careers," he said.

Billboard also mentioned other artistes who had lost their travelling privileges in recent times, like Popcaan, Bounty Killer, Aidonia, Ricky Trooper and Busy Signal.
