One Man, Two Guvnors, directed by Nicholas Hytner, was a runaway hit both in London's West End and on Broadway. Boasting five star ratings from major critics, the hilarious production features a Tony Award-winning performance from James Corden, host of the The Late Late Show on CBS, who succeeded Craig Ferguson.

Fired from his skiffle band, Francis Henshall becomes

minder to Roscoe Crabbe, a small-time East End hood now in Brighton to collect £6,000 from his fiancÈe's dad. But Roscoe is really his sister, Rachel, posing as her dead brother who has been killed by her boyfriend, Stanley Stubbers. Holed up at The Cricketers' Arms, the permanently ravenous Francis spots the chance of an extra meal ticket and takes a second job with one Stanley Stubbers, who is hiding from the police and waiting to be reunited with Rachel.

To prevent discovery, Francis must keep his two guvnors apart. Simple.

Corden first played the lead role in One Man, Two Guvnors in June 2011. The play was also cinecast worldwide as part of the National Theatre Live cinecasts and transferred from the National Theatre to the West End after touring. The show received universal acclaim, and won Best Play at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards for 2011.

The Guardian deemed it "a triumph of visual and verbal comedy. One of the funniest productions in the National's history." The Daily Telegraph described it as "the feel-good hit of the Summer", while The Independent called it a "massive hit", and the Evening Standard "a sure-fire hit".

One Man, Two Guvnors moved to Broadway, with Corden continuing to play the lead. In June, 2012, he won the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play for his performance.
