Sean Paul Atop Billboard Chart Again
Dancehall artiste Sean Paul is back on top of the Billboard charts, courtesy of the dancehall collaboration, Cheap Thrills, with Sia. The single climbed to the number one spot on the Canadian Billboard Chart.
Ironically, Cheap Thrills, which has been on the chart for 19 weeks, even surpassed Canadian rapper Drake's popular One Dance record, which is now number four in Canada.
One Dance, however, is still quite dominant in other countries and also remains number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Sean Paul and Sia have only managed to clinch the number eight spot, moving up from number 13 this week.
Cheap Thrills has been viewed on YouTube.com over 200 million times.
Drake's Controlla, featuring Beenie Man's sample, climbed the Hot 100 chart this week and now sits at the number 23 spot. While Too Good, which features a Popcaan sample, is now at number 29, moving up from number 33.
As far as the Reggae Billboard chart is concerned, the number one spot is still held by foreign reggae band Rebellution with the effort, Falling Into Place. Vybz Kartel was the highest gainer this week with his album, King of The Dancehall, making its debut at number two.
