She wears many hats, this former model. Originating from the parish of St Ann, Shana Blair McCormack first entered the modeling arena at age 15 when she signed for Pulse in 1998.

She later moved on to Zahni International Modeling Agency, later becoming the holder of the title Island Sexiest Model in 2004. A year later, she migrated to the United States where she continued her modelling career and married her boyfriend from school days, Elroy 'Full Rev' McCormack.

Fast-forward to 2016. Shana Blair McCormack now goes by the name Da' Range and is listed as a reggae/dancehall/pop singer, songwriter, businesswoman and active humanitarian.

Her involvement in music began when she started accompanying her husband to music studios, where she eventually began freestyling with reggae artistes like Michael Palmer and Papa Biggie.

She later impressed singer/producer Ed Robinson and voiced a track called Gangster Boy at his studio.

Finally, the time has now come for this multitalented artiste to release her first single, Inward Rasta, scheduled for this month.

She does not wear dreadlocks, but according to the singer, her Rastafarian beliefs lie within her, hence the title of her debut track, Inward Rasta.

On the track, she claims, "I'm a child of the creator, chanting Rastafari."

The artiste is also currently working on other projects, including several in Europe.

According to her bio, Da' Range is looking to stretch across the musical horizons with her one-of-a-kind, deep yet soulful voice, adding her own twist to the reggae/dancehall arena, perfectly combining and fusing all genres of music into the sizzling art of reggae/ dancehall.

Described as a singer with "creativity and distinction that is unmatched", she hopes to join the growing list of artistes to have emerged from the garden parish of St Ann to conquer Jamaica and the world, musically.

This illustrious list, ofcourse, includes the likes of no other than reggae king Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Shabba Ranks, Busy Signal, Romain Virgo, among several others. Shana Blair McCormack aspires to be in really good company, musically, and judging by the sound of Inward Rasta, she could be the first female singer from St Ann to become a reggae star. She has it within her.
