Zamunda Readies 'Scripts And Scrolls' For March Release

St Ann reggae artiste Zamunda (Christopher Gayle) is eyeing a successful 2017 as he seeks to further enhance his musical career.

Zamunda has expressed optimism about his journey so far, following a year in which he remained relevant with releases such as Two Gran; Too Old to Die Young, featuring Vershon; and Laws of Attraction, among others.

"I am very confident and motivated as it relates to creating music of the highest quality and to continue to trend on the pathway of greatness with my career," Zamunda said in a release.

"People have always recognised my potential, but potential alone will not make you a success. Success comes from hard work and dedication. Now that I have my own recording label (Sweet Waters Spawn Music) and doing my own productions, my career has grown tremendously and I am working hard to achieve even greater success."

Zamunda's first big move for 2017 is to release his debut album, Scripts and Scrolls, set for a March release date.

The 11-track album includes songs such as Greatness, Burn Dem Down, Get High, and Pecker's Point, all of which, he says, embody the pain and joy that people of the world face. The album touches mostly on things happening in today's society, locally and internationally.

Scripts and Scrolls was recorded at Rhythmax Recording Studio in Ocho Rios and produced by Christopher Gayle and Thomas Mesi, with co-producer Tevin Richards. The album was mixed by Raynado Harris and Dohnzhey Grindley.
