American soul legend Gerald Alston - lead singer and voice of The Manhattans - will be in Jamaica for a one-night-only performance in July 2017.

Alston, who has had numerous hits both as a solo act and dynamic frontman of the electrifying Manhattans, has vowed to perform all the hits he and The Manhattans are famous for, in tribute to his late singing partner Winfred 'Blue' Lovett who passed away in December 2015. He recorded and performed for over 45 years with the group.

Backing vocalists for this performance in Jamaica will be Troy May and David Harvey of The Manhattans.

"We promise them the concert of a lifetime, as we will be doing all the hits they have come to know and love me and my group The Manhattans for. There will be something for everyone," he declared.

Alston's solo hits include Slow Motion, Take Me Where You Want To, Send For Me, Stay The Night and Tell Me This Night Won't End. Among his hits with The Manhattans are Kiss and Say Goodbye, Shining Star, There's No Me Without You, We Never Danced To A Love Song, Hurt and It Feels So Good To Be Loved So Bad.

The Gerald Alston concert is endorsed by the Jamaica Tourist Board and Kool 97FM.
