Ja Women in Theatre closing (SUN)

The Jamaica Women in Theatre Festival closes at Phoenix Theatre, New Kgn. Exhibits of Sylvia Wynter, Louise Bennett-Coverley and Una Marson's work, mounted by the National Library of Jamaica, Special tributes through staged readings of their work Wynter's Maskarade (directed by Samantha Campbell), Bennett-Coverlety's Biz Biznizz (directed by Dorraine Reid) and Marson's London Calling, directed by Suzanne Beadle. Free event.

Francophone Film Festival 2017

The 2017 Francophone Film Festival runs from March 20 April 3, films starting 7 p.m. nightly at the Multifunctional Room, UWI Main Library. On March 24 Quebecois storyteller Fred Pellerin performs at the Edna Manley College, starting at 7 p. m. On March 24, students will perform song, dance, drama and poetry in French at the Francophone Festival for Schools, starting at 10 a.m. Shortwood Teachers' College. Free event.
