Reggae Sumfest goes all out for VIPs

Published:Friday | July 7, 2017 | 12:00 AM

The staging of Red Stripe presents Reggae Sumfest 25 promises to bring a new experience to patrons, and provide luxury at this year's festival. With its quarter century staging, promoter of the now weeklong festival; DownSound Entertainment, decided to introduce an exciting, upgraded, ultra VIP section, where seating covered cabanas, bottle service lounges, and other amenities will be available.

In addition to the regular V.I.P section, this new addition provides increased comfort and amenities and personal bar service and enhanced security for Reggae Sumfest patrons. A shift from the usual standing space in VIP, this new addition provides, at best, an increased level of comfort to add to the experience of the festival goer.

Viewing from VVIP/Ultra will be from elevated platforms situated at either side of the stage with an option to select from either of the three VVIP packages being offered. Table and bottle service package includes second tier guest seating along with access to six tickets, three complimentary bottles, car passes, chasers and one crate of Red Stripe beer. The third-tier cabana package maximises viewership by providing guests with a choice of a 10x10 or 10x20-foot covered cabanas. This package offers six or 10 tickets depending on cabana size, three or five bottles, chasers, car passes, a hostess, security and Sumfest customer appreciation packages. The third offering available is Ultra VVIP single seats on the Ultra VVIP platform with two complementary Red Stripe beers.

Once purchased, VIP Cabana packages may be picked up at the Sumfest media room, at the Wexford Hotel starting Wednesday, July, 19.

Reggae Sumfest is revolutionising the way we've come to know festivals by creating an exclusive area where comfort is priority. Purchases of these Ultra VIP packages may be done online where an e-receipt/ticket will be generated as proof of purchase allowing patrons access to their cabanas, bottle service lounges once at the festival for each night. The Cabana and Bottle Service Lounge packages with parking passes, wristbands, and Sumfest Swag, can be picked up at the Wexford Hotel during the week prior to the festival nights. The individual Ultra VVIP seat purchases, will be checked in at the venue the nights of the show.

Patrons are reminded of the Drink Right policy which enforces "no ID, no liquor" as you must be 18 years and older to drink. Now a weeklong festival, Reggae Sumfest is staged in Montego Bay and begins on Sunday, July 16 with the Beach Party, the staple All-White Party at Pier One happens on Tuesday, July 18. Sumfest Blitz takes place on Wednesday, July 19 and the exciting Sumfest Heavyweight Clash will be held on Thursday, July 20 at Pier-One. The festival climaxes at the historic Catherine Hall on Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22 with live music featuring Jamaica's top artistes.
