California crowd screams 'Happy birthday, Chi Ching Ching!'

Dancehall entertainer Radion 'Chi Ching Ching' Beckford celebrated his birthday on Tuesday, September 19, skipping the customary annual bash to celebrate his birth for a stage in San Diego California, performing alongside Sean Paul.

The highlight, according to Chi Ching, was when the audience members screamed "Happy birthday, Chi Ching Ching!"

"Sean Paul made them know it was my birthday, so mi a fi big up Sean Paul for his never-ending support. Mi just want the fans dem know that my main focus right now is the album. It's a major step for me right now," Chi Ching Ching said.

Chi Ching Ching declined to reveal his age. However, he sang praises to the Almighty that he was alive and expressed his gratitude to fans worldwide, who reached out to him via social media and other means.

 

'Larger than life'

 

Having spent much of 2017 rocking the world on tour with renowned superstar Sean Paul, Chi Ching told The Gleaner that performing to new fans on his special day was larger than life.

"It was crazy! It was an experience for me again, different platform around different people. The whole experience going on right now is a journey. I am writing my own story," he said.

He told The Gleaner that another year older and wiser was a milestone in itself but not the only one as he was paying special attention to his soon-to-be-released album Turning Tables. His current single is On The Rise, produced by Cross Fire Entertainment.

Chi Ching Ching said: "The album is what I am focused on right now. Sean Paul will be releasing my album soon under his own label, Dutty Rock. It have some crazy collaborations on it, and already, we shoot videos for two of the tracks on the album. I cant wait fi drop dem."

The Rock Di World deejay, who also goes by the moniker 'Chainsaw Man', says that although the celebration of his birthday this year took a different spin, he has something in store for his fans.

"Normally, I would keep a party in Jamaica or somewhere over the world. This year, I decided not to keep a party on my birthday, but me and Silent Addi going to do a party in Miami in November," he said.
