Reggae Vibez 2018 to 'Step Up' in Christ

Praise Academy of Dance, which commemorates its 25th anniversary this year, is celebrating Reggae Month with a dance concert called 'Reggae Vibez', scheduled for Saturday, February 24, at Fellowship Tabernacle in Kingston.

The 12th staging of this event will see a number of Christian dance ministries, including LAUD Dance Ministry, One Body One God (OBOG), Fellowship Tabernacle and others performing to Gospel Reggae Music.

An added treat will be in the form of live musical performances from Jermaine Edwards and Prodigal Son.

"Reggae Vibez is an idea I believe the Lord gave me. (Reggae) is (part of) our Jamaican culture and even as Christians, we can celebrate and give back to the Lord who created the genre," said Dr Patricia Noble, artistic director and founder of Praise Academy.

"We are hoping that people will come out this Reggae Month and celebrate reggae dance as we promote Gospel Reggae. It will be an exciting time," she continued.

Praise Academy of Dance, established in 1993, is a Christian, non-denominational dance school, dedicated to the development of Christian ministry through dance for the past 25 years. The academy has received more than 40 gold medals in the JCDC festival competition.
