Inaugural Regency Carnival

The inaugural Regency Carnival, brought down the curtains on this years carnival season in fine style.  Upping the ante on the typical carnival wrap party, Regency Carnival treated patrons to immaculate bar service, delectable dishes from a wide variety, and an astounding performance by 2018 soca standout, Lyrikal. 

The event, which kicked off at noon, offered patrons the ultimate view of passing bands, from its elevated Cabana sections, optimally located  along Waterloo Road.

With no shortage of costumed revellers, the party quickly came alive with the influx of feathers, beads and gemstones, as DJ Courtney and Selecta Shane kept the vibes flowing. The afternoon’s opening set was a prelude to what would follow — the sunset as Coppershot sound’s Marc Chin and Nero led the dance hall/soca mix, giving patrons a solid throwback set.
