Down sound Entertainment (DSE), organisers of Reggae Sumfest, will be hosting the first launch of Reggae Sumfest 2018 in New York City (NYC) tomorrow.

The launch, to be held at NYC hot spot the DL, is aimed at maximising awareness of the festival among influencers and millennials in the tri-state area, with disposable income to travel to Jamaica to enjoy the annual festival.

Special guests Agent Sasco, Raging Fyah, and Tosh Alexander, will grace the stage to set the tone for what is expected to be the best staging of the event in its 26 year history.

The Consul General of Jamaica in New York, Trudy Deans, will also be delivering remarks at the event.

Commenting on the planned pre-launch event, DSE boss Joe Bogdanovich said, “this will be the first in a series of international launches aimed at further maximising the reach of the festival. This year, Sumfest is poised to be the best we’ve had, with a star studded line-up and planned improvements in the overall experience. We are excited, and I believe the fans are too, and it has shown in the ticket sales so far.”

Reggae Sumfest 2018 will run from July 15-22. Some of the most recognised names in Jamaican music have been confirmed including Damian ‘Junior Gong’ Marley; Beres Hammond; Spice, and Popcaan.
