Cherrytree Music Company and Live Nation have announced that Sting and Shaggy will embark on a North American tour after they wrap up their tour of Europe this summer.

The tour kicks off in Miami on September 15 at The Fillmore Miami Beach, in support of their joint album - 44/876. The tour will make stops at various venues, including Atlanta's Tabernacle, The Theatre at MGM National Harbour in Washington, Chicago's Aragon Ballroom, plus stops in Philadelphia and Denver, before culminating at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on October 15.

According to information gathered from the international media, they are set to play songs from their recently released, island-flavoured album 44/876, and are also expected to collaborate on each other's most celebrated hits, including Every Breath You Take, Englishman In New York, Message In A Bottle, It Wasn't Me, Mr Boombastic and Angel.

Tickets are already on sale and are available at Ticketmaster. Every online ticket purchase includes one physical or digital copy of Sting and Shaggy's album 44/876. Sting and Shaggy will be joined on the 44/876 Tour by Sting's players Dominic Miller (guitar), Josh Freese (drums), and Rufus Miller (guitar); as well as Shaggy's band members Melissa Musique (backing vocals), Gene Noble (backing vocals), and Kevon Webster (keyboards).

Since the album's release, it has been revealed that Sting and Shaggy were only working together on one song initially, but ended up recording an entire compilation. The album is said to be paying homage to Jamaica. In several interviews about the album, Sting revealed his deep love for Jamaica, pointing out that he feels deeply connected to the island, not just for its music but because he wrote one of his biggest hits while in Jamaica (Every Breath You Take).

The album 44/876 debuted at number one on the Billboard Reggae Charts shortly after its April 21 release. It was the only album in two years to top the chart with double-digit sales in its opening week. The album features collaborations with Sly and Robbie, Morgan Heritage, Aidonia, Agent Sasco, among others.
