Chart Watch | Sting and Shaggy still reign, Jr Gong returns

There seems to be no end in sight to the reign of Shaggy and Sting's 44/876, as the two find themselves again on the Billboard Reggae Charts for week ending September 1. This week's top spot makes it a total of 11 weeks at the number one spot after 18 weeks on the charts.

The biggest movement on the chart has come from One Day by Common King, which falls from the number two spot to number seven, and Popcaan Forever, who has finally relinquished his number six spot, but falling three places to number 9.

The top five of the chart is made up of familiar faces with incremental movements. Free Rein's Rebelution has moved up to the second spot, followed by Everyday Life, Everyday People by Slightly Stoopid up from four last week. Mountains to Cross by Policulture debuts at number four and Iration's self-titled album rounds out the top five spots.

The latter half of the chart reflects minimal movement with Santigold's I Don't Want: The Gold Fire Sessions falling one spot to number six. Ziggy Marley Rebellion Rises is up one spot from number nine to number eight this week as his younger brother Damian Jr Gong's Stony Hill re-enters the charts at number 10.
