The world has enough superheroes! One of Marvel's most enigmatic, complex and vicious characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.

Following a scandal, journalist Eddie Brock is trying to take down Carlton Drake, the notorious and brilliant founder of the Life Foundation. While investigating one of Drake's experiments, Eddie's body merges with the alien Venom, leaving him with superhuman strength and power. Twisted, dark and fuelled by rage, Venom tries to control the new and dangerous abilities that Eddie finds so intoxicating.

The film features a cast of A-listers, including Academy Award nominees Michelle Williams and Woody Harrelson, Riz Ahmed, Jenny Slate and Marcella Bragio. Venom is produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel and is distributed by Sony Pictures. Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a screenplay by Scott Rosenberg, Jeff Pinkner, and Kelly Marcel, Venom is the first instalment in Sony's Universe of characters based on Marvel Comics.
