Grammy-winning artiste Shaggy will feature in ABC’s and the Disney Channel three holiday specials, which kicks off today, Thanksgiving Day, in the United States of America.

Shaggy and STING, who both teamed up to win the Grammy for Best Reggae Album in 2019, will be part of tonight’s production dubbed The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration.

The show, set to be hosted by American actor Matthew Morrison, Spice Girl Emma Bunton and sports broadcaster Jesse Palmer, will see Shaggy and STING performing a reggae version of Silent Night. The song was officially released a week ago on STING’s YouTube channel and has racked up close to 30,000 views since.

Special completed

Shaggy and STING wrapped up shooting for the ABC/Disney special some two weeks ago and the Mr Boombastic singer has been heavily promoting his appearance since then.

In addition to tonight’s show, Shaggy is also set to make appearances on two more TV specials for the Yuletide season. The next will be on December 13 where he is set to perform on the Disney Channel Holiday Party at Walt Disney World. There the artiste is expected to perform solo singing Jamaican Drummer Boy, a song he released back in 2011.

Shaggy wraps up his ‘Disney Christmas’ with a performance at Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade. That show is set to air on Christmas Day from 10 a.m. – noon and will see Shaggy singing his new original song, Christmas with Friends.
