Palace Amusement welcomed its first patrons last night at an intimate but successful first night of operations at its New Kingston drive-in cinema.

Inclement weather and technical difficulties forced the company to abandon the grand opening on Friday, but only for 24 hours.

The Dominica Drive facility opens every evening at 6 p.m. Showtime is at 6:30 p.m., and the current feature film is The War with Grandpa. Tickets to catch the movies at this new location will cost $1,250 for adults and $800 for children. Moviegoers will need to have an FM radio in their cars, as the audio will be transmitted through the frequency 89.7.

To make it the full theatre experience, Palace Amusement has added pan chicken to the menu, which boasts the usual items offered at the concession stand. The New Kingston facility will also have a bar.
