Giving an exclusive look into his life as a doting husband and father, Virgo and his wife started their YouTube channel back in September and are now almost 100,000 subscribers strong. With the world drawing that much closer to loved ones and close friends this Christmas, The Gleaner caught up with Virgo for 5 Questions With...
How much are you enjoying fatherhood? What's the best part for you?
Fatherhood brings a different kind of joy that I can't even explain. The reward of walking in their room every morning and see the big smile on their faces means everything to me.
What has Romain Virgo been up to for 2020 (aside from quarantining of course)?
I've been busy being a house husband, taking care of my baby girls, recording new music every opportunity I get, and also keeping up with our YouTube vlog life.
Speaking of your YouTube channel and vlog life, how has that been going? Does it feel like you've gained an extended family?
Our YouTube channel is growing by the minute, and it is such a good feeling to see how our new VirgoNation family is enjoying the little pieces of our lives that we share with them weekly. It's an extension of our family in a sense, and the support from them is so real. VirgoNation is a vibe!
What is your favourite childhood memory of Christmas and how will you be spending your holiday this year?
I remember getting a shoes for Christmas from my Uncle Plaza as a child. At that time, I wouldn't have any to wear if it wasn't for him so that was extremely special to me and it's something I can never forget. This year, I'll be spending Christmas with my family and just soaking up every moment because it's the girl's first Christmas.
Where is your favourite place to unwind and relax?
Whenever we get the opportunity to leave home and travel to a different place locally or abroad, especially a resort with different kinds of entertainment is always one of the best ways to just unwind and rejuvenate. Sometimes going back to my home town in Stepney, St Ann does that for me too.
