Chaos in the big city

When long-time rivals, Tom and Jerry find themselves homeless, they call a truce and make plans for a fresh start separately. They cross paths later in Manhattan, New York, where Jerry has taken up residence in the city’s largest and finest hotel, causing all kinds of trouble while the staff is preparing for the ‘wedding of the century’ between Ben (Colin Jost) and Preeta (Pallavi Sharda).

A new staff member, Kayla (Chloë Grace Moretz), is tasked by the hotel manager, Mr DuBros (Rob Delaney), with planning the event and getting rid of Jerry. She hires Tom to catch Jerry and chaos unfolds when the cat-and-mouse battle threatens to destroy her career, the wedding, and the hotel itself.

The film also stars Michael Peña.

Tom and Jerry is an American animated franchise and series of comedy short films created in 1940 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. Best known for its 161 theatrical short films by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, the series centres on the rivalry between the titular characters of a cat named Tom and a mouse named Jerry.
