5 Questions With recently caught up with the captivating Perry, who shared that he was excited when he was initially approached to be part of The Social House. He noted that with the influencer space growing rapidly in Jamaica, he was happy that corporate Jamaica was willing to invest in persons like him in more modern ways.

“This show is giving us an avenue to express ourselves in different ways and to connect with our audience on a whole new level. Also, the fact that there’s a chance to win a million dollars was a plus,” he said.

After being aired for a number of weeks, the question still remains, Who will win the million dollars?

Who do you think will be your biggest competition in ‘The Social House’?

I would definitely say I think everybody must have a strength and have a weakness inna the house. So where I might be a little better, somebody might be weaker or vice versa. So I am not going to count anybody out. So far, there is a little bit of a twist, so mi don’t waan call and seh I am going to win. Everybody a go believe inna themselves. Further down in the series, I can answer that better.

What is your all-time favourite meal?

Me is a bellyas. Anything name food, I am there, but favourite, mi nuh waan talk too loud and mek a next meal jealous. If you go out and eat with me, there is one thing that I am going to always order before mi eat, and that is soup. See if you can bless me with a nice little soup, a me that. Cause me walk with gas. Anybody pon YouTube will tell yuh that me always a belch down the place. But my favourite is a seafood soup from Island Vibes with crayfish and whole heap a excitement.

Can you cook?

First thing, there is a difference between ‘Can you cook?’ and ‘Can you help yourself?’ I am in the nah-go-dead-fi-hungry category. Me one inna my house, I can go cook and feed myself. The chicken part mi maths that out quick and fast put in a little potato, little vegetable here and there, but if a fish … .

What is your favourite thing about being an influencer?

This is easy. Connecting with the people who support you. It was a very enlightening moment the first time I got [an] actual fan message, I was, like, ‘What is going on here?’ Then it sort of developed into ‘Oh my God, you just made my day better. I’m currently in the hospital, and my mom just passed, and you don’t know how much you are carrying me through, inspiring me.’ And me inna my lickle self a seh, ‘Jesus have mercy! Me a mind mi little video and a just a go bout and mind mi lickle business. Me never know she me a inspire and a impact so many people lives.’ To get those messages and to interact with those people and inspire them makes it a hundred per cent worth it.

Do you see yourself doing this for the rest of your life?

You know, I honestly don’t know. Mi nah go round it because see di lickle pandemic, she come kick way everybody foot. Nobody saw it coming, so I can’t say this is where I will be five years from now. Whatever G-O-D has in store for me, I will just go there. Who knows? Maybe three years me own a church and me is a pastor. Anything God seh mi fi do, I am going out there.
