On Monday evening, the widow of dub pioneer Scratch Perry spoke publicly for the first time since his sudden death and dropped a bombshell, implicating nameless persons in her husband's demise.

In a social media post that has left more questions than answers, Mireille Perry vowed to get "justice for the mishandling that took place" and stressed that "the people responsible for his death are not going to get away with his passing".

The legendary Jamaican singer and producer, whose death on Sunday morning captured headlines globally, passed away at the Noel Holmes Hospital in Lucea. But Mireille, in her post, while not stating the cause of Perry's death, absolved that institution of all blame.

"I'm not allowed to give any details for the moment, but I could just say that Lucea hospital didn't have anything to do with his tragic passing away, or did something wrong," she wrote.

Mireille's main post stated: "To all of Lee's fans and supporters, I sincerely thank you for your outpouring of love and condolences. This catastrophic loss is totally unexpected and unbelievable! Lee Scratch Perry was not sick! I promise that I will get justice for the mishandling that took place! I promise that I will not stop until we get justice from the people responsible for his death. Lee was so looking forward to building his £$P Paradise community with a studio and art house in December after the UK tour. He was also so happy to be touring again with his music performances from October. The people responsible for his death are not going to get away with his passing. We have 100 per cent evidence that he would still be alive if they had not done what they did also out of money Greed!!!"

NOT SICK

In a lengthy caption, she said that her 85-year-old husband had not been sick, and made reference to his plans to build a paradise community in western Jamaica.

On the day before he died, Lee Scratch, the eccentric musical genius, had posted a video of himself as he chanted a prayer and laid out his plans for his £$P [LSP] community, for which he had already identified a property with a river, located in Hanover.

"Nuff love from Lee Scratch Perry and the holy I and the holy sky; Nuff love from Lee Scratch Perry and the reigning I and the reigning sky; Nuff love from Lee Scratch Perry and the holy flood and the holy blood, the holy moon and the holy stars, the holy clouds and the holy rain and the holy brain in Haile Selassie name, Amen," the idiosyncratic Perry chanted.

In an update about the community, he asked for volunteers to assist with preparing the land and doing "everything that is needed, including permaculture specialists".

"If any of you are looking for a way out and want to live with us independent from Babylon and are already ready for the change of life, you could become the foundation of my community. Children [are] very welcome, as we'll do homeschooling. Investment is not necessary, but [there is a] possibility to build your own cottage or purchase one in the later stage. To achieve an income, besides the studio and art house, we'd love to offer retreats, detoxing and other health treatments for guests. Plan to grow healing herbs and make our organic products."

Mireille, who described her husband's passing as a "totally unexpected and unbelievable catastrophic loss," told Perry's followers that she would honour his name by building his

£$P community "in the exact way that he dreamt about".
