Music producers Anthony Taylor and Demario Logan are banking on achieving international success with an inspirational Chronic Law single which was released earlier this week titled Diamond.

“The feedback has been great so far as on the first day of its release, Diamond was streaming #3 in Jamaica and trending #11 for music in the region,” Taylor, who is chief executive officer of Spot On Records, said.

The single was released on all download digital networks via Spot on Records and Mek Cents Ent imprints. Visuals were also released this week, racking up over 300,000 views in only five days.

For Taylor, who grew up in the Craig Town community in Kingston, music was a constant factor in his life.

“I used to do sound clashes with my friends and I used to get dub plates from community artistes for those occasions. Plus, the stage show, Ghetto Splash was literally around the road from my house, so every year I would look forward to the show. That love turned into a driving need to make music that resonates with the masses and so Spot On Records was born,” Taylor explained.

His first official production was Kabaka Pyramind’s Gonna Be Alright featuring Serani which was released in 2022. He later scored a hit with Bayka’s Truth, a collaboration with NSG which was released in March 2022. Now, Taylor is on the verge of his first international hit with Chronic Law’s inspirational Diamond single.

“Me and Demario was in the club one night and I told him how I would love to work with Law Boss (Chronic Law) and he said he was going to make the link and by the next morning I got a call from him saying ‘we going to Law Boss studio’ and from there everything fall in place,” he said.

Taylor said he is looking to build on this success to make more hits.

“My future plans are to make consistently great music and becoming a staple in reggae and dancehall industry,” he said.
