Adding to the star-studded cast of international artistes who want to grace the Jamaican stage, Stefflon Don says she would like to have her own concert on the island next year. Catching up with The Gleaner during her sound check for tonight’s staging of the Red Bull Culture clash, the UK-based artiste said it was one of her personal goals.

“I hope I can definitely do a headline show in Jamaica. Of course I would love to do that. I have never done my own show in Jamaica, so I think that would be dope,” she said.

Claiming it is in the pipeline, with a rough time frame of summer 2025, she says her dream line-up would include Sizzla, Movado, Vybz Kartel, Spice, Shenseea, Beenie Man, Tanya Stephens and Sean Paul.

In the meantime, Stefflon Don says she is just excited to unleash the Lon Don crew at the Red Bull Culture Clash.

“It’s been very hectic,” she said, referring to how the crew has been preparing. “It was just a lot of work, flying to Jamaica, getting all the dubs ready. It’s my first time messaging people and being left on read (receiving no response). I’ve basically been running down people. I’ve never been on that side of life before and now I know how it feels.”

Laughing at her predicament of chasing people for dubs, she continued, “So, sometimes when I don’t get back to people now, I know how you guys feels. I’m sorry. It’s not personal.”

With dubs from UK artistes in their catalogue the Hurtin’ Me singer said that while she is friends with many of her competitors, there’s no love between them until Sunday, after the competition takes place.

Going up against each other at the National Arena for one title are four crews: Lon Don Crew, Jamaica Wi Seh, MadHouse Experience and Big Bad Soca.
