Vybz Kartel, Shenseea nominated for Best Reggae Album Grammy
The Recording Academy has revealed the nominees for the 2024 Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album. The competition this year showcases a blend of traditional reggae and dancehall, with dancehall artistes Vybz Kartel and Shenseea making the list.
The reggae nominees include Collie Buddz with Take It Easy. Also nominated is Bob Marley: One Love – Music Inspired By The Film, which celebrates the enduring influence of the reggae icon. The Wailers complete the list of reggae contenders with Evolution.
The category also highlights the influence of dancehall, with Vybz Kartel's Party With Me and Shenseea's Never Gets Late Here reflecting the genre’s impact on the global stage.
Julian Marley and Antaeus won the 2024 Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album for Colors of Royal.
The 2025 Grammy Awards will air on February 2 live on CBS and Paramount+ from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
