The ‘JMF’ Riddim (Jamerican Mafia Project), an initiative from Shinealous Records, is making significant waves in the Caribbean music landscape by reintroducing the art of original riddim juggling to the forefront of the dancehall genre. In an era where remake riddims dominate, the JMF Riddim showcases fresh talent and authentic sounds that resonate with both old-school and new audiences alike.

This project, which showcases the production of DJ Baby Ace and Roe Summerz, features four singles, each complemented by stunning visuals. Leading the charge is Edley Shine, the visionary owner of Shinealous Records, with his infectious song and video Gr8ness, which is rapidly accumulating streams and views.

Adding to the buzz is Honorebel’s hit single, What you Drinking, which serves as the flagship track from his anticipated album, Energy Surge. This body of work has already garnered recognition as one of the top reggae albums of 2024 and was under consideration for a Grammy nomination.

The JMF Riddim also highlights the talents of Don Yute, the legendary Golden Child, whose moody in-studio video has re-established him as a staple in the dancehall community. Additionally, emerging artiste Tae’ja Rose is making strides with her track, Lost Ways, now featured on multiple streaming service playlists. Her accompanying video positions her as a promising artiste to watch.

“In a competitive marketplace, the JMF Riddim stands out as a powerful project. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Shinealous Records team, supported by Symphonic Distribution, global attention and accolades for this project are imminent,” a press release stated.

The JMF Riddim is a celebration of culture, creativity, and the spirited energy of Caribbean rhythms.

In addition to Edley Shine celebrating his solo career, latest music and business ventures, there is Gr8ness etched in his music legacy. This year, the former Born Jamerican member is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the début, breakthrough album, Kids From Foreign. Proud of his musical history, journey and growth, Edley Shine eyes the JMF Riddim as an ideal body of work to appeal to multiple generations of music lovers.
