The 19th edition of The Experience, Africa’s largest, free, all-night gospel concert, is set to shine with a spotlight on Jamaican gospel singer Chevelle Franklyn. The award-winning artiste will be one of the headline acts at the event, which attracts approximately 800,000 patrons annually. The concert will be held on Friday, December 6, at the iconic Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos, Nigeria.

Chevelle Franklyn is one of the most dynamic and respected voices on the global gospel music scene. Known for her powerful vocal range, soul-stirring performances, and her deep passion for worship, her inclusion in this year’s line-up is a testament to her immense contribution to the gospel music world and her ability to move audiences with her spirit-filled performances.

“I am beyond excited to be one of the persons headlining The Experience this year,” said Franklyn. “This is such an honour for me, and I can’t wait to share in this powerful moment of worship and praise with so many believers from around the world. It’s going to be an unforgettable night as we lift up the name of Jesus together.”

The gospel singer’s team noted that her performance at The Experience 2024 will feature her dynamic worship style and “will inspire both reverence and celebration”.

“The Experience is a sacred space where God’s divine glory is revealed in majestic proportions. This unforgettable night of thanksgiving and worship will leave a mark on your heart, life, and destiny. A night of thanksgiving and honour to the One who wins forevermore, Jesus wins,” Chevelle added.

She thanked Pastor Paul Adefarasin and the entire House On The Rock team for inviting her to be part of this event.

This performance comes on the heels of the release of Chevelle’s praise and worship album, South Wind Vol. 1, which was recorded in South Africa and has captured the hearts of gospel music lovers globally. Released in August, the album features a blend of vibrant melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and anointed worship, including standout tracks like Jesus Wins, We Will Sing, and Highest are you.

The music from this album brings together diverse sounds from across the globe, including collaborations with international artistes such as Phil Thompson, Dr Tumi, Ntokozo Mbambo and Nathaniel Bassey.

The Experience 2024 promises to be an unforgettable night of music, worship, and divine connection. Thousands are expected to gather in Lagos, and millions more will join virtually from around the world.
