Stone Love celebrates 52 years strong with ‘Dance Party’
Multi-award winning sound system, Stone Love, is known for great music from its top-class selectors who can be guaranteed to keep the dance floor buzzing the entire night. For its 52nd anniversary, the legendary sound system is celebrating in grand style on Saturday under the theme ‘Dance Party’ at the D’Lux Restaurant & Lounge.
The Dance Party theme, the organisers say, was inspired by the essence of what Stone Love represents – bringing people together through the universal language of music and movement.
Speaking about the theme, founder and mastermind behind the sound Winston ‘Wee Pow’ Powell, said, “Stone Love has always been about creating an atmosphere where people can forget their worries, hit the dance floor, and celebrate life. This year, with the Dance Party theme, we’re going back to basics – pure vibes, non-stop dancing, and a night to remember. The new venue at D’lux enhances this vision, offering a stylish yet energetic space for our supporters to enjoy.”
Powell added, “We are inviting loyal dancehall supporters and music enthusiasts to an unforgettable night of pulsating beats, high-energy performances, and timeless vibes.”
Sponsored by Campari, the celebration will feature and showcase an electrifying line-up of selectors including Bad Gyal Marie, Alonzo Hawk, DJ Ray, Glen Stinga, Bad Boy Cha Cha, alongside fellow veterans from Bass Odyssey and the explosive duo, Boom Boom & Harry Hype. Together, they’ll deliver hours of pulsating beats and high-energy performances that will keep the dance floor buzzing.
