Canadian couple first in line at Freedom Street

After arriving at the gates of the National Stadium a few minutes after 1 p.m., Javane and Moon Green were pleasantly surprised to see they were the first in line for the highly anticipated Freedom Street concert.

Visiting all the way from Saskatchewan in Canada, the two made a promise to themselves that whenever Vybz Kartel was released, they’d have to be at his first show.

“We always said that when Vybz Kartel gets freed, it doesn’t matter what time or what day, we had to be there,” Moon said.

Now that they are here for the moment they’ve been waiting for, they made sure to be on time.

“We were the first to arrive and park, the first in the bus, and the first in line,” Moon explained.

Her husband says the experience was “awesome” and that they had no difficulties arriving at the venue.

Freedom Streets marks the return of dancehall icon Vybz Kartel, who is set to perform alongside the likes of Spice, Busta Rhymes, Skillibeng and more later today.
