Popular selector Marlon Wizard, more popularly known as 'World Boom' or 'Boom Boom' says the Gully-Gaza era of dancehall was the best in recent years.

His comments came during his set at Freedom Street currently being held at the National Stadium in St Andrew where he rang out some of Movado’s biggest hits like I'm So Special and I’m On the Rock.

“Some people seh a Bounty and some seh a Beenie. But hear wah, me a seh a Kartel and Movado was the best,” he said.

“Nuttin neva bad like Gully and Gaza,” he continued.

World Boom was one of several selectors to take the Freedom Street stage in preparation for the return of dancehall icon Vybz Kartel.

The show has advertised an extensive lineup of local and international artistes, including Busta Rhymes, Spice, Skillibeng, Popcaan, Tommy Lee, Chronic Law, and more.
