Busha Mark and Etana collaborate on ‘So Beautiful’
Love is a universal language, and artistes who can balance vulnerability with machismo are destined to create songs that can capture the imagination of the masses. That’s why emerging reggae artiste Busha Mark has teamed up with reggae superstar Etana for So Beautiful, a sentimental love song with a seamless flow and passionate lyrics.
“I wrote the song years ago and I was singing it aloud one day and video director Wayne South came to me and said he loved the lyrics and visualised a combination with Etana on the song. He reached out to Etana’s team and, a it that ... history was created,” explained Busha Mark, who sometimes delves into grimier topics.
On the track, Busha Mark’s mellow delivery floats through a melodic paradise and his passion shines through as he professes his admiration of Etana in love-letter form.
“It’s a really smooth song. Nothing no come easy so. The hardest thing was to get it done and I have to bless up Etana for this opportunity,” Busha Mark. said.
The confident Busha Mark Scott believes that the song is a juggernaut in the making.
“It’s a lover’s song, and, at Valentine’s Day this year, it will be one of the most-played songs in Jamaica,” he predicted.
Born Lee Jay Scott to parents Olive Robinson and Desmond Scott, he grew up in the tough streets of Chisholm Avenue in Kingston 13. Raised in a house filled with music, he began developing his own musical style as a young boy while attending Maxfield Park Primary.
By fusing different styles, Busha Mark is working towards achieving his ultimate goal: uniting the world through music. He is compiling tracks for a reggae-infused EP in which he explores social, political and topics that are personal to him.
Busha Mark is best known for the song Walk di Walk, which is an anthem in his home-town community of Chisholm Avenue, and has racked up more than 15,000 likes on his TikTok page.
