Trump says his wife is "100 per cent" supportive of his 2024 presidential campaign

The former First Lady is said to have rejected requests to appear in public with her husband both at campaign stops and at his various court appearances, but the billionaire insists that his wife is desperate to see him return to the White House.

Trump told Newsmax host Eric Bolling: "She said just the other day it is just so sad what is happening to our country.

"She said it so poignantly, and sad - but she expressed it.

"She looks at the news and you see the border. For the most part, the fake news does not report it. Our country is being poisoned by people coming in that shouldn't be here.

"She looked at it - it was that, interest rates, our border."

Trump pointed out that his wife had a comfortable life before politics and wants to see her husband succeed for the sake of the United States.

He explained: "She feels very strongly about it. Not because she wants to do it. She had a very nice life before, I tell you, but she feels our country is being destroyed."
