Entertainment package adds flair at Beauty Competition
An exciting entertainment programme kept the audience engaged at the Corporate Area finals. The event featured captivating performances by Lorna Bennett, Scotty, and the Scorch Dancers. Adding to the lively atmosphere, music was provided by the Boris Gardiner 'Happening' band, with Winston Williams serving as the master of ceremonies. The entertainment lineup added a festive flair to the competition as the judges prepared to select the semi-finalists.

16 beauties for Corporate Area finals
Sixteen semi-finalists were chosen from a field of nineteen to compete for the Miss Kingston and Miss St Andrew titles at a “punch party” at the Flamingo Hotel on Sunday morning.
Twenty-two girls made their first appearance at a tea party recently but only twenty were slated for appearance yesterday and one of these dropped out.
The sixteen semi-finalists are Verna Desnoes, Denise Bethune, Jean-Marie Keene, Charmaine Lawla, Deidre Soutar, Fay Daley, Donna Seaton, Patricia Yuen, Eleaner Hacker, Monica Potts, Loi Munroe, Claudette Oswald, Jeanette Watson, Sandra Donaldson, Dawnet Dunbar and Delores Brown.
They will be competing for the Miss Kingston and the Miss St Andrew titles, and awards for best personality, best figure, best legs, and best smile. The final decision will be made at Vale Royal this Friday evening.
The contestants paraded in sportswear and bathing suits. Polyester kareebas for men and boys in bright colours and office and patio wear for women were presented by the House of Ivy.

Judges were Mr Wilton Weller, Chairman; Mrs Hector Wynter, Mrs Peggy McLean, Mr Cedric Salmon, Mr Guerney Beckford, Miss Elaine Wint and Mrs Sheila Barnett.
