Strawberries are synonymous with romance, but Fruit Treats Ja is here to dispel that rumour, declaring the sweet, fleshy delight as appropriate for all occasions, including Mother’s Day.

“To me, chocolate-covered strawberries are the perfect gift, whether it is for a birthday, Mother’s Day, an event or even just a ‘You’re in my thoughts’ gift,” owner Kadiane Jones told Food.

Her signature treats include her classic yet idyllic chocolate-covered strawberries, available in both milk and white chocolate. Jones’ famous cakesicle, which is an icicle made of white chocolate and stuffed with your favourite cake flavour like cheesecake and Black Forest, among others, is heaven in every bite, without the dreadful and messy icicle drip. And you haven’t lived on the wildly sweet side until you have tried her deep-fried oreo.

Opening her business only three months ago, the young entrepreneur has already been collecting rave reviews for her ‘in the box’ creativity and mouth-watering taste. And while the new company’s growth is steady, she remains in awe at its development during this unprecedented time. “I launched the business in December for 2020, and so far, the reception has been great. Running a business isn’t easy, so whenever I get an amazing review, I smile from ear to ear,” she revealed.

For this Mother’s Day, Jones is serving celebrated queens a refreshing dose of sugary flavour with Mom Berries. These chocolate-covered strawberries come in assorted flavours and are drizzled with edible gold. “I will also be offering a Letter Box, with the initial of the recipient packed with chocolate-covered strawberries and a Breakable Heart Box, a heart made completely out of chocolate with treats under the heart, customised to the recipient’s liking,” she added.
