Courtleigh Hotel & Suites named AAA’s ‘Best of Housekeeping’ property for 2020
The Courtleigh Hotel and Suites has once again been designated as a ‘Best of Housekeeping’ property by the American Automobile Association (AAA). The 2020 honour recognises the property’s housekeeping operation for significantly surpassing expectations, as measured during a comprehensive on-site inspection conducted by AAA. The hotel has been recognised by the AAA for three consecutive years since 2018 in the same category.
Nicola Madden-Greig, group director of marketing and sales for The Courtleigh Hospitality Group, commented on the designation, saying: “Service excellence in every aspect of hotel operations has long been a hallmark of our group. This is especially true as it relates to guest accommodations. The travelling public is, of course, more keenly aware than ever of the critical importance of cleanliness and sanitation practices employed by hospitality companies. This honour validates our uncompromising standards in this area, giving guests added peace of mind when staying with us.”
Executive housekeeper Rosealee Stewart concurred, adding that she was extremely proud of her team, who goes above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction and provide a personalised experience.
Stewart says that she and her team are constantly thinking of ways to personalise the stay for the guests, and this has allowed for guests to always choose the Courtleigh Hotel.
Stewart revealed that the winning formula is the close-knit bond the housekeeping team shares. “We are a family in housekeeping and that makes everything we do much easier and allows us to be successful,” she said.
For Madden-Greig, the goal is to continue to remain consistent and provide a guest experience that will make guests feel at home. “We look forward to welcoming all our guests back with us when the time is right.”
The Courtleigh Hotel and Suites is conveniently located in the heart of New Kingston and was awarded ‘Best Business Hotel’ in Jamaica for 2019 at the RJRGLEANER Hospitality Awards late last year. The elegant 127-room property caters to both business and leisure travellers alike, offering all of the modern comforts and amenities of much larger hotels, along with warm, personalised service and hospitality. The combination creates a uniquely intimate and relaxing guest experience, more in the tradition of Jamaica’s classic guest houses and romantic inns than a typical city hotel.
