Tracking Obama

With a tight schedule today President of the United States Barack Obama, has a nation pregnant with expectations.

After last night’s cultural expose at the Bob Marley Museum it is time for more serious business as the leader of the free world, the 44th President of the United States, prepares for a number of engagements.

Among these are bi-lateral talks with Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, discussions with the 14 CARICOM leaders and a  meeting with youth leaders at the University of the West Indies.

This morning extra vigilant members of the security forces, obviously leaving nothing to chance, joined scores of local and international journalists at a New Kingston hotel from where they headed to Jamaica House for the talks between Obama and Simpson Miller.

With several  roads already shut-down to allow the easy movement of Obama’s convoy a number of entities in and around New Kingston have also indicated that they will be closed today.
